  • White is the sour dough most people start with.  You should expect a mildly tangy taste, a firm well baked crust, and a distinctive firm but open crumb structure. The bread keeps well fresh for several days. It freezes well.  It is particularly good toasted, or grilled for open sandwiches. 

    If you have some left over try bread crumbs as a topping for savoury bakes, or cubed and tossed in oil with salads.
